Casting for Cats is quickly becoming the Florida Keys biggest and best ladies backcountry fishing tournament. The first Casting for Cats tournament was held in 2001 and raised enough money to spay/neuter over 100 cats. What began six years ago as a tournament for fun, fishing and friendship is now a major fund raiser to help control the feral cat population in the Upper Keys. One hundred percent of the tournament proceeds benefit a variety of deserving charities including:
- Caring for Cats Clinic
- Wild Bird Center
- Turtle Hospital
- Shriner’s Children’s Hospital
- Upper Keys United Way
- Matecumbe Historical Trust
- Marvelous Pet Rescue

About Us
Casting for Cats is a volunteer group who freely
give their time and support for the feral cats of the Upper Keys.
We are a non-profit charity so all the money raised stays in the
Upper Keys for the spay/neuter clinic and caring for feral cats.
If you would like to join our volunteer group or need information
on “Free Vouchers” for the spaying/neutering of any cat at the Caring
for Cats Clinic call Sharon Mahoney-Ellenwood at 305-852-5549 | 305-664-2012
